We live in a hyperactive, super-connected world, where almost everything happens fast and is urgent. People spend all day looking at their mobile, and when you buy something online, Amazon has accustomed us to sending us deliveries almost immediately, and competitors have followed that trend so as not to lose customers.

A few years ago many people began to consider a different and more relaxed way of living, which someone with a very good idea defined as: slow life. It is a calmer way of living, with less haste and valuing more the truly important things of each one.

And this has also reached the deliveries of the products we buy, online and has been called: slow delivery. That it is not about making deliveries slowly, but in a sustainable way, and without prioritizing the urgency of deliveries above all else.

It is about putting "responsibility" above "rush". Because, extreme emergencies increase operating costs, environmental pollution, the stress of those who carry out the work, etc... And dear friends, the urgency for the sake of urgency is a sovereign stupidity, and worst of all, it is unnecessary.

Delivery companies are appearing on the market that offer us the "responsible option" of our delivery, so that we can decide the real urgency of our shipment. This is the "slow delivery", which is not slow, but responsible and sensible.

This is a cultural change and I am pleased that this is taking place, because some time ago I wrote some reflection on the stupidity of unnecessary emergencies in product deliveries.

I think the time has come to put some common sense into deliveries, and fight against the marketing of speed (rather urgency) and free shipping. Because no work is free and everything has a cost, and if someone is not paid or is paid poorly, that someone is exploited. Let's not fool ourselves.

Welcome to the "slow delivery" movement (I would call it sustainable delivery) and hopefully many people join it as soon as possible. We will come out all winning.
