This is an original idea proposed by a new French company that offers the market a metal “tree” and on it they place a series of micro-wind turbines (each one produces around 300 W.) that in total are capable of generating up to 10 Kw. and more.

The micro-generator placed on the “tree” is very simple, it simulates the vertical branch of a tree and has a double curved blade that rotates with the wind, and that rotation produces electrical energy at the base. In the photo below you can see a more precise image.

The idea is very original and apparently simple, although it has a complete control system to be able to supply direct current to a battery. And from that battery the energy can be provided where it is needed.

The originality of the system allows it to be placed in a house, a terrace, or any piece of land without the need for expensive installation. And of course it is ideal to place it among urban furniture, and take advantage of it to generate energy in a sustainable way.

More information can be seen on the company's WEB:  https://www.newworldwind.com/

One drawback that I have seen is that the system is anything but cheap. A “tree” that supplies 10 kW. has a price of more than 50,000 euros, and that means that it will take a long time to be amortized.

According to the company, they have already installed installations in some places and if prices drop over time, their sales may increase.

But I think that at those prices there will be few private people who will buy it, and I suppose that their greatest sales efforts will be made with the City Councils and other civic organizations. Anyway, I wish them the best for their original idea.
