Many of the people who shop online do not think much about what they buy, and when they receive it, it turns out that they do not like what they have bought and send it back. And that happens because in many cases these returns are free for the Customer.

But they are not free for the seller or for the environment. The seller of the item incurs in a cost to make this return, and automatically has one more item in his warehouse, with the management cost that this entails.

In many cases, low-value products are discarded in the trash and can end up contaminating a rubbish dump. And to this contamination is added the one that is generated by transporting the product back to its warehouse.

Any return supposes a "loss", both for the seller and for the citizens who see the increase in pollution they suffer.

And since Amazon is the company that sells the most online, it is also the one that receives the most product return requests, with the aforementioned drawbacks.

That is why they have decided to inform the buyers of those products before they make the purchase. When the customer is going to make a purchase, they will receive a notice from Amazon in the event that this product is frequently returned, so that the customer has time to think about whether or not they really should buy it.

It seems to me that it is a very important tip of advice, so that customers know what to expect, and give it a little bit more thought before buying it. If with that the returns are reduced, I think it will have been worth it.

A good initiative by Amazon, in which everyone wins.
