Most car accidents occur due to driver error, either due to speeding or other causes such as fatigue, etc... and systems are being developed to notify drivers that their physical condition deteriorates and they stop to rest. .

I have heard of some camera-based systems that analyze the driver's face to determine if fatigue effects are occurring. And I just saw another one that measures the driver's condition using millimeter wave radar.

They have called the system  WISe , and it has been developed by the Pontosense company founded recently in Canada. It measures the driver's vital signs (breathing to detect fatigue, heart rate, etc...) and presents the information on the car's dashboard, in addition to giving the corresponding sound warnings so that the driver is aware of the situation in which he is found.

In fact, the system is so powerful that it can analyze the situation of other vehicle occupants, and present it on the car's dashboard as well. And these data can be analyzed by an algorithm equipped with Artificial Intelligence to provide additional information.

The company has announced that its system will be installed in some vehicles in the near future, but it remains to be seen what types of systems are the ones that prevail in the market, if those based on cameras or other types of sensors.

This system is capable of detecting the rest of the vehicle's passengers, and since the sensors are very small, they can be placed in various locations in the vehicle to make their installation more flexible

We are going to see this type of driving aid system more often in vehicles, starting as always with high-end ones, ending in no time at other medium and low-range ones, because safety is important to all of us, and the more they are used, the lower their prices, and therefore they are more accessible to cheaper cars.

Every day cars have more and better security measures and that is very positive for everyone.
