When very few are still using Wi-Fi 6, it is already announced that Wi-Fi 7 will begin to be implemented next year, which is logically more efficient, faster, more...
The Wi-Fi network is the connection network of all homes and businesses. All our home devices are connected to this network: computers, mobile phones, TVs,... and all kinds of "intelligent" devices that are introduced into our lives without us even realizing it.
And by the time we realize it, we have more than 8 devices connected to the same network. And since the total capacity of data transmission is limited, the more devices are connected, the slower the connection to the network becomes. That's where the continuous improvements in Wi-Fi networks come from.
The new Wi-Fi 7, simply put, multiplies the transmission speed by four (compared to Wi-Fi 6) reaching speeds of up to 10 Gigs, although the theoretical maximum may be 40 Gigs; while also increasing the bandwidth of each connection, and the number of possible channels to which we can connect.

And since nobody sleeps here, component manufacturers are already manufacturing the materials that will support this technology. Qualcomm, for example, already offers processors for routers, mobile phones, etc… that support Wi-Fi 7, and the competition does something similar.
Therefore, soon the new Wi-Fi 7 Routers will appear offering this possibility of a faster connection, and we will see what the starting prices are like, although at the beginning they will be much more expensive. At the moment there is talk of the order of 400 euros.
For those of us who do not have many connected devices at home, the speeds of Wi-Fi 5 and 6 are generally more than enough, but for companies where there are many people connected, it is very interesting to have the maximum data transfer speed.
It is also interesting for those who use real-time game downloads a lot, in addition to 4K and 8K.
There are those who predict that these increases in transfer speed can give rise to new applications that are unknown today, and it is very possible that they are right.
This is what technology is all about, it never stops evolving, although some of us believe that we don't need it so much.
