Robot applications depend on the imagination of their designers, as there are a number of sensors and devices that can be added to give them different usage options.

Today I comment the case of a robot that is capable of walking on metal walls and ceilings. It is a four-legged robot and it walks on these surfaces due to the electromagnets built into its legs. Depending on whether or not current passes through them, they become magnetized and the robot's leg adheres to the metal surface.

Controlling the movement of the legs with the moments in which they are magnetized, the movement of the robot can be controlled by the metallic surfaces.

The robot is capable of avoiding obstacles in its path, and transporting loads of up to 3 kg in weight, and can be used for the inspection and maintenance of very different types of metal structures.

Over time, robots will end up being one of people's best friends, as they help us perform many different tasks. Of course they are not as affectionate as dogs.
