The Climate Crisis is one of the most urgent problems facing humanity today. The evidence for climate change is overwhelming, and the effects of that change are already being felt around the world. However, there are still many people who do not believe in the climate crisis, or who do not give it the importance it has for our lives.

There are a number of reasons why people may not believe in the climate crisis. Some people may be confused by the conflicting information that is available. Other people may believe that climate change is a natural phenomenon that is not related to human activities. And other people may simply not believe that climate change is a serious problem.

Regardless of the reason, it is important that we all understand the climate crisis and its implications. Climate change is real, it is caused by human activities, it is already having a negative impact on our planet, and it will be worse in the future.

There is a series of evidence that supports the real existence of climate change. One of the strongest pieces of evidence is the global temperature record. Earth's average temperature has increased over the past century, and this trend is accelerating.

Another proof of climate change is rising sea levels. Sea level is rising due to melting glaciers and ice caps. The surge is inundating coastal communities and eroding beaches.

Climate change is also causing a series of extreme weather events, such as heat waves, droughts, forest fires and floods. These climatic events are causing property damage and having a major impact on the lives of many people.

But despite all this evidence, I have read that in a survey carried out in the USA by  NPR/PBS , only 53% of North Americans think that the Climate Crisis is an important fact that should be faced.

And furthermore, 72% of Republicans think that no, that it is an irrelevant issue and that it does not pose a risk at all. And I suppose that they say that because it is what the Republican-leaning leaders and newspapers are constantly transmitting.

And that is what they think in the country that has polluted the most in the past, and one of those that continue to pollute the most today. And whether we like it or not, they are the leader of the Western world.

And in Europe things are not very different. Perhaps the political class is a little more aware, but not much. And the progress of the economy, jobs, etc... are above any other priority, without realizing that this is bread for today and hunger for tomorrow.

And despite the fact that the UN warns us that the world is "boiling", a large majority of people think that it won't be such a big deal and that we will end up managing the situation. Without thinking about how this will happen..

The economic interests that move the world are very powerful, and in order to try to solve the Climate Crisis that we are suffering, it is necessary to introduce profound changes in our society. Changes that hardly anyone likes because we are all afraid of losing our "privileges" and our quality of life.

The problem is that this quality of life is based on consuming much more than what our planet can provide. And as a consequence, we are destroying this planet until it is not known when.

I won't see it, but my grandchildren and their descendants are going to have a much more difficult time. And I feel sorry for them.
