I liked the information about this bicycle because I think it is an advance in the good direction of sustainable transportation for short distances, such as in a city. It is a transport bicycle that can carry up to 500 kg. of weight.

The idea comes from a French company called   Pelican Bicycles  , which has presented an electric bicycle, to which additional modules can be attached to form a kind of “transport train”, as can be seen in the photograph.

The “system” is fully configurable in a flexible way, and up to 2 modules can be added to the bicycle, as seen in the photo above. Both the bicycle and the modules that are attached to it have an electric motor and an independent braking system, so that the entire assembly can function as a “small train” of transport.

I believe that this idea is a versatile and sustainable solution for the transportation of goods, and especially for transportation that is called “last mile”, that is, the one that ends up delivering the product to the customer's home.

Due to its design concept, it can not only carry a lot of weight (up to 500 kg), but also a high capacity (up to 3,000 liters), so it can be used on many occasions.

And we cannot forget that it is a bicycle, meaning that almost anyone can ride it. And since both the motors and the brakes are distributed among the modules, the person who handles the bicycle does not have to make a great effort to carry out the transport.

I believe that this bicycle is more than just a means of transportation, it is a symbol of change towards a future where sustainable mobility is a priority. With its capacity to transport up to 500 kg of cargo, it meets many of the current transportation needs in cities.

If the transport vans that we see in cities were changed to this type of sustainable transport, we would all benefit. I hope we can see it soon!!!
