Many of those who buy their shoes online know how difficult it is to get the right “size”. Many others do not dare to do so. And the vast majority of us are unaware of the enormous number of shoes that are returned from online purchases, because the shoe does not fit the customer's needs.

Since almost all of these returns are free, returns incur costs that sellers generally have to bear, and lower their margins. Not to mention the useless pollution they generate.

That is why I liked knowing about the existence of an APP called Snapfeet  that is capable of generating 3D information about our feet through photos taken with a mobile phone. Although I have to say that I have not been able to download it on my Android mobile.

It seems that it is a company in Lombardy (Italy) and it is not clear what its business model is, so that potential customers can use the APP. I suppose that in a short time it will be known, because it can be very useful.

People have been working on this issue for over 10 years, and it seems that a fairly practical solution is finally being reached. This information is very preliminary and when it is released it is possible that something will change, although I don't think much.

A video can be seen at: https://youtu.be/alDQ9rOPS8s

And as indicated in the video, with a few photos of our feet taken with a mobile, we can obtain information in 3 dimensions of them, so that we are able to provide the maximum amount of accurate information before buying shoes. and thus avoid having to return them because they do not suit us.

If the APP also has the manufacturer at the same time as the client, the latter could virtually try on the manufacturer's models to get an idea of how their feet would be with those shoes.

I think it's a good idea that is about to crystallize.
