?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

As Artificial Intelligence is used in everything, it has already been introduced in a braking system for cars as well. Brembo is a leading company in car braking systems and has announced that its future braking systems will soon be aided by artificial intelligence.

They have called the new system Sensify and they hope to put it on the market around the year 2024. The concept is different from what they did until now and the pneumatic braking system is eliminated to make it fully electric.

When I read this news for the first time I was surprised because the braking system in cars with ABS is very efficient, and I was wondering if it was necessary to add the AI unnecessarily. But on second thought, it is quite possible that the people of Brembo were right with their decision going forward.

For the Brembo company, it means redesigning a whole system that has worked very well for many dozen years, but with the new idea they put forward it is more than possible that they will make a qualitative leap towards the future of braking systems.

They indicate that the new system is less expensive, since they eliminate the hydraulic fluid and the braking becomes electric, and in Brembo they say that the new electro-mechanical system has a lower maintenance cost, it wears away less the disc, etc ... with which in the long run comes out being cheaper.

With this new system, the people of Brembo claim to offer better braking control and total safety. The help of Artificial Intelligence makes that the braking system can adapt to the way of driving of the drivers, and that each wheel can be braked independently of the others.

And in the case of electric cars, with this system a better regenerative braking control can be achieved, and consequently the car's battery could be somewhat smaller and therefore less expensive.

Every day it is becoming clear that software along with AI is being introduced in all fields, and one of the additional advantages of electronics is that it can be very miniaturized and its prices fall significantly over time.

These new electronic braking systems will be expensive at first, but when they are introduced in all cars their prices will drop considerably, and 20 years from now it will be difficult for us to remember the “old” technology of hydraulic braking.
