One of the most dangerous tasks of firefighters is when they have to approach a fire to put it out by throwing water on it. The closer the flames, the greater the risk.

And in this field too, technology comes to the aid of firefighters with the presentation of semi-autonomous robots capable of throwing water over long distances. These robots are much smaller than a fire truck and therefore can approach certain places where a fire truck cannot.

These robots (there are several models) have been presented by the LUF company. The most powerful model is the  LUF 300 HF  HF that can launch up to 8,000 liters of water per minute at a distance of more than 100 meters.

The robot is transported in a container that moves easily (as seen in the photo above), and then it only remains to connect it to the water source for it to be operational. And what today is a semi-autonomous robot, in a short time can become more autonomous.

We can see a video at: https://youtu.be/l-WFmdVm784

It can be seen that the robot can launch water or foam, depending on the needs of the fire, and its way of operating is totally safe for the firefighter who handles it.

It is clear to me that it is a very good tool for putting out fires safely.
