I have seen the information of an APP to protect women from possible physical attacks against their person, and I think it is a good idea although it is painful for me that because of being a woman, a person can be physically attacked.

The APP is to be used in smartwatches, it is called  Epowar  and it has been developed by two graduates from the University of Bath (UK).

The APP detects the heart rate and other signs of distress in the person wearing the smartwatch, and sends an alert to the user's contacts and automatically records and stores the evidence that occurs, including microphone, GPS, vital signs and movement data. in a system stored in the cloud.

Something important is that everything works automatically and without the person having to do anything, because in the event of an attack, their nerves could prevent them from acting correctly.

It also has an AI system to be able to distinguish incidents of anguish, with others of usual activities and exercises, such as walking, running, etc... and that way there are no false alarms.

In my opinion something important is that the Epowar software does not track or identify the user, until the moment an alert is issued. And in this way the privacy of the users is protected.

It seems good to me that women have protection tools, and what is unfortunate is that we are in a society in which women need these additional protection measures. A shame !!
