Google has developed a new AI program that has the potential to revolutionize the way journalists work. The program, called LaMDA, is a Google AI factual language model, trained on a massive dataset of text and code.

LaMDA can generate text, translate languages, write different types of creative content and answer your questions in an informative way. It is still in development, but has learned to perform many types of tasks.

According to Google, LaMDA is a powerful tool that can help journalists in many ways. For example, it can be used to:

  • Generate stories from raw data.
  • Translate languages so journalists can access a wider range of sources.
  • Write different types of creative content, such as poems, code, scripts, music pieces, email, letters, etc. This can free up journalists to focus on more important tasks, like research and writing stories.
  • Answer questions from journalists in an informative manner. This can help journalists research stories and gain a better understanding of the topics they are covering.

LaMDA is still in development, but it has the potential to revolutionize the way journalists work. It can help journalists to be more efficient and effective, and it can help them access a wider range of sources. This can lead to more accurate and comprehensive journalism.

LaMDA is a powerful tool that has the potential to improve journalism in many ways. As LaMDA continues to develop, it is likely that it will be used in more ways by journalists.

This is what Google says its AI program can do, but what we don't know is what the owners of newspaper companies are going to do. And I am very afraid that what they are going to do is reduce the number of journalists in their newspapers.

And it is not at all clear how the veracity of the stories that this program writes will be, because if, as it seems, it is based on what has been written on the Internet, journalists are going to have to work hard to be sure that what they write is true, and not a "fake".

It is clear to me that all technological developments have their pros and cons, but business owners try to use them so that their business provides greater benefit, and that often goes to the detriment of some people who work there. And journalists are no exception.
