I think I can safely say that we all know and use Google's Street View app. It is something that appeared about 15 years ago, without much announcement and without making much noise, and that today is part of our lives as something normal. A few days ago, a person asked me the address of a street, and my answer was: ask Google.

Because to make things easier for us, we now have that information available on our mobile phones, which, by the way, every day we use them less to talk and more to communicate and inform ourselves.

I have read in an information that Google intends to relate Street View to the metaverse, but they do not explain clearly how they intend to do it. Because today this metaverse is a kind of "totum revolutum" where many things fit, but it is not clear (at least for me) how everything will end.

It seems that Google wants its Street View application to have a more "inclusive" vision and more in 3 dimensions, so that we see ourselves more immersed in the place. And it seems that they plan to do so with the help of Artificial Intelligence to create a digital model of the world.

I'm not sure what that means, but I don't dislike the idea. Then we'll have to see how it develops, because as some people say: the devil is in the small details.

The way in which they achieve "immersion in 3D" is not very clear to me, because the smartphone is a device that provides information on a flat screen, and 3D vision glasses today are not very comfortable, and of course we are not going to go with them down the street. Perhaps they think of another type of light glasses that are already in the very early stages of commercialization today.

Google is one of the world's most powerful AI and other technology companies, and it will almost certainly be able to take its location program to the next level. Time will tell.

And although I do not want to miss the opportunity to thank Google for the enormous service provided in more than 100 countries with the information from Street View, and I also have to recognize the enormous amount of information that they obtain with it from all of us, and that in part that helps them to continue having more than juicy benefits.

But we do not have to fool ourselves or be surprised. Nobody likes to work for free.
