The richer we are, the more we consume and therefore the more we pollute. The western and developed world is the one that generates the most pollution, but the consequences are paid by all, and especially by the poorest.
This is the great injustice of the consequences of climate change that we are generating.
On the other hand, it is true that general awareness of the pollution we generate is increasing, and new ideas are being put forward to try to reduce this pollution. And some of them are dedicated to air travel, and especially to private flights.
Large airplanes have a hard time reducing their pollution in the short term, and even if the smaller ones are easier to electrify, that won't happen for at least another 10 years or more.
In the meantime, there is only one practical solution: fly less. And those who still want to fly, should pay a high price to do so. And those who want to fly in a private plane should be taxed so much that the price of their flight is almost prohibitive for them not to do so.
Because private flights are much less efficient than passenger flights, and the pollution per person is on the order of 10 times more. Which in these times is unacceptable from a social point of view.
A comparative diagram is attached in the graph below.

The "special" taxation of private flights could have some utility, but it has the counterpart that very rich people may be happy to pay these taxes and continue to fly with joy, because money is not a problem for many of them.
And since what is desired is not to annoy anyone, but to reduce the pollution of our air travel, I think we should be a little smarter, and look for complementary means both technical and social.
Social to convince people to fly as little as possible, until they stop polluting, and technical to pollute as little as possible, as in the case of SAF type fuels that do not generate additional pollution.
Today there are already practical ways to reduce pollution from flights by using SAF fuels, since there are already some aircraft engines that can fly with them, and their use could be forced in special flights such as private flights.
These flights would be more expensive, but the people who take them can afford them, and the more these fuels are used, the more their prices would go down, and they could be extended to "normal" flights to reduce pollution in all types of flights.
But this is not achieved without the determination of the Authorities to avoid the pollution produced by our flights. And for the moment I don't see anyone concerned about that problem. A pity !
