I have found a graphic summary of what happens on the Internet in 1 minute. The contribution is from Frank Navarra, whom I thank from here for his valuable contribution, because it is very clear and summarized.
I put below the "photo" provided by Frank Navarra to reflect a little on what is indicated in it.

If this is what happens in 1 minute, to obtain what happens each year you have to multiply these figures by 525,600, which is the number of minutes we have in the year.
And if that multiplication is enormous for us, let us think about the more than 30 years that we have been using the Internet, and that every year that passes its use is extended throughout the world.
The growth of what we do on the Internet is more than exponential, and we must think that everything we do is recorded and stored somewhere, and many things in more than one place because they are shared on different social networks.
If we think of the billions of hours of video, photos, e-mails, posts, …… that are “uploaded” to the Internet, all of that remains there (in the “cloud”), it is stored in some servers, and those servers need electrical power to maintain that information. An electrical energy that at the moment is obtained from fossil fuels that pollute our environment.
And if we take a step further and think about the "usefulness" of what we put on the Internet, we can come to the conclusion (at least that's what I do) that the vast majority are uninteresting topics, and we only do it to hang out.
Someone can rightly tell me that interesting and instructive things can be found on the Internet, and I will agree that this happens in some cases, but I think that these cases do not (being generous) even reach 2% of the total.
Which means that more than 98% of what we store on the Internet could, and I think should, be deleted after a certain time after being placed.
This would substantially reduce an enormous amount of energy that today is spent on maintaining unnecessary things.
I love the Internet. I think it has been a great advance for everyone, but some of the premises on which it works should be modified.
From time to time I read things about the development of a new Internet, but I'm not sure what they want to do, and especially when it comes to people's privacy and eliminating the huge amount of garbage that we store today on many servers.
