Taking into account the enormous amount of renewable energy that is needed and will be needed in the future, it is entirely reasonable that new companies appear on the market that offer new ways of generating sustainable energy.

Not long ago I heard about a Norwegian company called Ventum Dynamics that offers compact wind turbines that can be placed almost anywhere. Such as the roofs of residential areas, companies, shopping centers, etc...

Traditional wind turbines, with their large dimensions and high installation costs, are not viable in urban environments, in addition to requiring large investments and high installation and maintenance costs.

Ventum Dynamics' proposal is totally different. These are small wind turbines (barely 2 meters high), cheap, easy to install and maintain, and each one provides around 1.5 to 3 kWH. depending on the wind speed (between 6 and 10 m/s.)

You can see the company's website at:  https://ventumdynamics.com

Depending on the energy needs, several wind turbines can be placed on the top of the building to add up the energy supplied by all of them. Ventum Dynamics wind turbines are based on an omnidirectional design using vertical axis wind turbines (VAWT). Unlike traditional wind turbines that need to face the direction of the wind, VAWTs can capture energy from the wind no matter where it blows from. This makes them ideal for urban environments where wind direction can be variable.

These compact wind turbines offer several advantages such as:

  • Compact size
  • Low noise
  • Easy installation and low maintenance
  • Versatility
  • Good efficiency. One of them can feed a family home

Almost all new companies that announce new products promise to revolutionize the industry, but the most important thing is that they add possibilities of generating sustainable energy in the easiest way and at the lowest possible cost.

And this seems like a good option. But time will tell what place they occupy in the renewable energy market.
