I have seen with regret the statements to the BBC by Michael Benfield that 50 years ago was one of the founders of the Green Party in the UK, with the intention of fighting against Climate change that he saw very clearly.

In a small celebration of the 50th anniversary of the creation of his party, this good man has declared that the battle for the environmental survival of the world "was" at this moment, lost.

It is a sad statement from someone who knows what he is talking about, and who is not a politician who wants to sell us something. It is a statement of facts.

Whatever happens, we cannot sit idly by and we must find the positive side of this sad announcement. And everyone must think that he can help.

From raising awareness among friends and acquaintances, to thinking about partly changing our way of life.

It is not about getting bitter, but about being aware of what we are going to leave to our descendants, and acting accordingly in what is within our reach, and there is always something we can do.

Dear friends, I do not want to ruin your day, but on the contrary, I encourage you to think about this issue that is so important to everyone and to act accordingly.

I wish you the best.
