In general, drones fly in outdoor spaces and are capable of carrying out all kinds of tasks based on the sensors that are incorporated. As time goes by, they have greater calculation capabilities, and they also receive help from Artificial Intelligence to further increase their possibilities.
But there are very few cases of drones specialized in working inside buildings, as is the case I am commenting on today. The drone is called Tando and is from the company Indoor Robotics.
When the drone is at rest, it is placed on a platform on the roof with the help of a magnet, and there it is charged autonomously, until it has to perform some of its functions.
It works by flying inside any building and is specially prepared to carry out surveillance, security and control functions of what happens in those interiors.
The cameras can be normal, infrared, etc … and carry other sensors to measure temperatures and others. It is a multifunction drone that can be very useful to complement the control tasks carried out in large buildings.

If we think of large office surfaces, shopping malls, stations, warehouses, data centers, etc. that today have guards for their security and control, a few of these devices can help significantly reduce the costs of these services.

It is very clear to me that drones are here to perform more functions every day than what people did until today. They are an ideal complement to help us with a multitude of tasks, and reduce their costs.
And Artificial Intelligence will only provide them with greater capacity to carry out higher-level tasks.
