Due to its characteristics (it is very stable), dimensions (it is not very large), etc\u2026 it has been assigned a multitude of tasks, both for monitoring and controlling facilities of all kinds.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And now they are applying it to guard the ruins of Pompeii and protect them from the many looters trying to take remains for sale on the black market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The ruins of Pompeii cover an area of 400,000 square meters and a large part is still buried underground. Monitoring this extension of remains and facilities 24 hours a day, every day of the week, involves a lot of people and a lot of cost.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Robot-Spot.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-818\" width=\"503\" height=\"319\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Robot-Spot.jpg 282w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/05\/Robot-Spot-18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 503px) 100vw, 503px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The robots carry out surveillance tasks without getting tired, they can work day and night, and instantly broadcast any anomaly that occurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Due to its size and agility, the robot can fit into some tunnels and hard-to-reach areas that looters try to use to steal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I think it's a great idea, simple and I'm sure it's quite profitable from an economic point of view. It is more than likely that some guards will complain about losing their jobs, but the use of robots is going to increase.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On the other hand, who was going to tell the inhabitants of Pompeii that 2,000 years later their city was going to be watched over by metal dogs.
