There are hundreds of proposals for land, sea and air shipping drones, and only a few of them are making actual deliveries. In general, they do so in physical areas that are not very large and deliver them as tests and to collect experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The proposal that I am commenting on today is \u201cdifferent\u201d, and it does not make individual deliveries but rather grouped ones. The Chaparral is an eVTOL-type aerial drone that can carry more than 200 kg of weight almost 500 km away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To perform its function, it has a base in which the shipments to be made are placed, it is like a barge (a pod) where the items to be transferred are placed, and the said pod is hooked and unhooked from the drone autonomously, without the need for auxiliary staff.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

That is its main characteristic. Carry a lot of weight over long distances and be able to operate autonomously, something that almost no one does. That is why organizations that operate in difficult-to-manage terrains and spaces have been interested in it, and have placed an initial order of 100 units.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

I am very clear that drones are here to stay and we are going to see more and more applications, depending only on the needs and creativity of people.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Virtually every problem has some sort of solution. The issue is to find the solution that is simpler and more practical to be carried out. And drones can solve many of these problems.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
