<\/figure>\n\n\n\nIn many places and at different times the use of these cars has been criticized, but that has not stopped their number from growing, and perhaps that is why in certain cities they are making it difficult for their number to increase in them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
That is the case of Paris, which has recently decided to raise parking prices for this type of vehicle. It is about \u201caffecting\u201d people's pockets to convince them to change their vehicle for another more efficient and less polluting one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
I agree with these actions, and I think they should be even more aggressive. If we want to eliminate these large vehicles from our roads, we would have to make all their taxes more expensive, to discourage people from purchasing them. When people's pockets are affected, they think a little more about what they do.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
When we take seriously the enormous challenge we have with the Climate Crisis, the Administrations of all countries should \u201cconvince\u201d manufacturers and users to use efficient cars with a minimum of consumption, because the less they consume, the less batteries they will need.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
And the way to do it is with taxes. If SUV-type cars and other irresponsible purchases like that were much more expensive than normal ones, and the reasons for that \u201cmessage\u201d were explained to citizens, people would understand said message and a large majority would act accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But what happens is that most politicians want to keep EVERYONE happy, and they only think about their next re-election. And consequently that's how things are going for us. We are heading towards the temperature of our planet increasing by a few degrees, and facing new problems that make our lives more difficult.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But someone will take care of finding some \"culprits\" such as immigrants, the poor, etc... And that\u2019s just how unfair life is.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
