{"id":2663,"date":"2024-02-26T08:58:50","date_gmt":"2024-02-26T07:58:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/?p=2663"},"modified":"2024-03-02T07:58:38","modified_gmt":"2024-03-02T06:58:38","slug":"un-robot-para-ayudar-en-las-tareas-del-hogar","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/en\/un-robot-para-ayudar-en-las-tareas-del-hogar\/","title":{"rendered":"A robot to help with household chores"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Views: 3<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Being I love robots, I cannot resist commenting on the case of a robot that performs different household tasks that require a lot of precision, although I see its practical application as still very, very far away.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The robot is called ALOHA and was developed by three engineers from Stanford University, and has a series of slightly special characteristics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is mobile and can be moved around the home. It can learn movements by learning the instructions of someone who guides it once, and their movements can become so smooth and delicate that it\u2019s able to crack an egg, put clothes in the washing machine and make it run, etc...<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"300\" height=\"158\" src=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Robot-ALOHA.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2664\" style=\"width:473px;height:auto\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Robot-ALOHA.jpg 300w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/02\/Robot-ALOHA-18x9.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the photo you can clearly see that it is a prototype that is about to be developed in order to be presented on the market, but the things it is capable of doing far exceed those of any prototype that is usually seen in the news.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A little further down you can see some videos of the things the robot is capable of doing, and they are frankly surprising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Video where she washes clothes, makes a bed, etc.: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/HaaZ8ss-HP4\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/HaaZ8ss-HP4<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Video where she makes a series of meals:&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/mnLVbwxSdNM\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/mnLVbwxSdNM<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is clear that this robot, even at the prototype level, has skills and abilities that could make it useful for many tasks, at home or outside of it.
