{"id":1655,"date":"2023-03-03T08:45:20","date_gmt":"2023-03-03T07:45:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/?p=1655"},"modified":"2023-03-05T08:31:44","modified_gmt":"2023-03-05T07:31:44","slug":"la-nueva-tecnologia-de-un-vuelo-con-una-propulsion-sin-aspas","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/en\/la-nueva-tecnologia-de-un-vuelo-con-una-propulsion-sin-aspas\/","title":{"rendered":"The new technology for a flight with a bladeless propulsion"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Views: 43<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">I have read with interest the information from the Company&nbsp; <strong>Jetoptera<\/strong>&nbsp;&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/jetoptera.com\/\">https:\/\/jetoptera.com\/<\/a>&nbsp;&nbsp; which has proposed a new propulsion system that does not have propellers or blades to push or compress the air to make the plane fly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">As indicated by the company on its website, the Jetoptera design is a true distributed propulsion that is integrated into a novel fuselage. It improves propulsion efficiency by more than 10% and reduces fuel consumption by more than 50% compared to small turbojets. The propulsi\u00f3n system saves approximately 30% in weight compared to turbofans or turboprops and also significantly reduces complexity. And also the plane is capable of flying in VTOL mode.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A schematic of the plane's design can be seen below. What it leads to on either side are two air vents that push the plane forward, and if those parts are made movable it can be VTOL capable, making the plane even more interesting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Jetoptera-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1656\" width=\"395\" height=\"261\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Jetoptera-1.png 300w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Jetoptera-1-18x12.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 395px) 100vw, 395px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And in another photo below you can see the fluid system that propels the plane<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Jetoptera-2-.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1657\" width=\"501\" height=\"337\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Jetoptera-2-.jpg 450w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Jetoptera-2--300x202.jpg 300w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/Jetoptera-2--18x12.jpg 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 501px) 100vw, 501px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They have already carried out flights with several small prototypes to demonstrate the viability of the idea, and from the data they have obtained they believe that they can put planes up to 10,000 pounds (small passenger planes) in the air that reach a speed of mach 0.8 , which is double what they now achieve with a propeller.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">And I think it has another additional advantage, since they can change the fossil fuel for an electric battery that runs the compressor that sends the air to the thrusters. And in this hypothetical case, the vehicle would be non-polluting and would have a better future.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It remains to be seen if this idea could be more scalable and get bigger planes.
