{"id":1411,"date":"2022-12-08T09:43:22","date_gmt":"2022-12-08T08:43:22","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/?p=1411"},"modified":"2022-12-08T09:43:24","modified_gmt":"2022-12-08T08:43:24","slug":"smart-cities-o-ciudades-inteligentes","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/en\/smart-cities-o-ciudades-inteligentes\/","title":{"rendered":"Smart Cities or intelligent cities?"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Views: 6<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">We continually read about \"Smart Cities\" as cities that equip themselves with technological means to favor the lives of their citizens, but I have the feeling that these technological means are moved by technology companies to sell their \"solutions\" and establish themselves in the cities life.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A truly \"intelligent\" city must focus on the well-being of its citizens, and this is not only achieved with technology. The focus must be on the citizen, not on technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many improvements for citizens that require very little technology: public transport, nearby and easy-to-obtain information, nearby health and food services, etc\u2026. There are plenty of solutions that can improve the lives of citizens with very little input from technology. And those are in my opinion the real intelligent cities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Ciudad-inteligente.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1412\" width=\"578\" height=\"198\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Ciudad-inteligente.png 400w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Ciudad-inteligente-300x103.png 300w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/12\/Ciudad-inteligente-18x6.png 18w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 578px) 100vw, 578px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is said that by the year 2050 almost 70% of the world's population will live in cities, and they will generate more than 80% of the world's GDP. And cities are more than Artificial Intelligence, autonomous cars, Big Data, etc\u2026.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">They are citizens who live in them and who face inequalities, from different realities and needs. We have to apply the technology that is needed and in a very careful way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The United Nations has launched an initiative called <strong>UrbanShift<\/strong>&nbsp; to promote solutions in cities with sustainable development goals, which are based on solutions close to nature.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">UrbanShift seeks to transform cities for people and the planet, and it does so by supporting cities around the world to adopt integrated approaches to urban development, building an equitable, zero-carbon future in which both people and the planet can prosper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A video can be seen at:&nbsp; <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ARS-yBt1GZo\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/ARS-yBt1GZo<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It is not the technology companies that must define what the cities of the future will be like, but the societies themselves, taking into account the idiosyncrasies of each one.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Don't be fooled by technology !!!<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Views: 6 De manera continuada leemos sobre las \u201cSmart Cities\u201d como ciudades que se dotan de medios tecnol\u00f3gicos para favorecer la vida de sus ciudadanos, pero tengo la sensaci\u00f3n de que esos medios tecnol\u00f3gicos los mueven las empresas tecnol\u00f3gicas para vender sus \u201csoluciones\u201d e implantarse en la vida de las ciudades.
