And that makes it very special, despite having the problem of handling and transport<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Hydrogen is not found in a free state on earth, so it is not primary energy, and it must be obtained by different processes. And when it is obtained from other fossil fuels, it is a \"dirty\" hydrogen since obtaining it generates a certain amount of pollution.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The cleanest (the so-called green hydrogen) is the one obtained by electrolysis of water, but it needs a lot of electrical energy to obtain it and is still very expensive, although there is much research underway around the world to use different catalysts and make their production cheaper.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"500\" height=\"522\" src=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Hidrogeno.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1336\" srcset=\"https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Hidrogeno.jpg 500w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Hidrogeno-287x300.jpg 287w, https:\/\/desdelaterrazadeamador.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/11\/Hidrogeno-11x12.jpg 11w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For hydrogen to be widely accepted and used, price is critical. And at present, according to experts, its price is between 6 and 12 dollars per kilo when it is obtained by means of wind or solar energy, but that is constantly changing, since these energies do nothing but drop in price.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">These same experts indicate that in China the prices of hydrogen obtained by electrolysis are 25% the price in Western countries, due to their salaries, energy costs, and I suppose also to aid from the Chinese government.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">China has already become the world leader in the manufacture of solar panels, and if it imitates what it did for solar panels, it has many advantages to become the world's largest hydrogen producer in the near future. And that will be an important plus for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">There are many new processes that are being investigated to improve and reduce the cost of obtaining hydrogen, and one of them can be seen in the following video: <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ZGmZUcza2Ac\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/ZGmZUcza2Ac<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">But I think that the most important thing is the decisive action of governments to position themselves as leaders in this field.
